Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Liberty Clinic. This role handles front desk duties, greeting patients, scheduling visits, validating insurance, and collecting copays in a busy ambulatory setting.

Primary duties include managing MyChart and EMR requests, coordinating patient itineraries, and supporting the care team to ensure a smooth patient experience from arrival through checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1 or more years customer service or health care experience.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule internal and external referrals.
• Schedules in person, telehealth, surgeries and procedures as needed.
• Register patients during scheduling: demographics, insurance verification, MSPQ, scanning.
• Collect copays, coinsurance, and deductibles at point of service.
• Assist patient with MyChart activation and support.
