Health First is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to provide friendly, rapid patient support, including registration, appointment scheduling, and clerical duties. You will handle insurance verification, data entry, and timely communications with patients and departments.

The role requires strong communication skills, healthcare terminology knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment at our Florida facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer needs in a timely, professional manner.
• Answers phones courteously, takes messages, and directs calls.
• Facilitates patient appointments and referrals efficiently.
• Collects demographic and insurance information and enters data accurately.
• Obtains required signatures on consents and distributes information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and updates patient records as needed.
• Prepares financial estimates for services and communicates them to patients.
• Collects current and past-due patient balances prior to services.
• Performs daily reconciliation and cash-out procedures in the practice system.
• Prepares the next day’s work for all scheduled patients.
