Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year experience; state-specific occupational medicine knowledge preferred.
• Core competencies include service mentality, attention to detail, sense of urgency, initiative and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors.
• Communicate wait times to patients and direct them accordingly.
• Obtain authorization to process patients for services as needed.
• Check in patients using the patient management system.
• Explain forms and ensure completion.
• Answer phone lines and direct calls.
• Schedule and remind/reschedule appointments.
• Check out patients and distribute records.
• Maintain office supplies and forms.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safety rules.
