Job summary

Vanderbilt Health MT Juliet is seeking an Associate Patient Service Specialist to support patient flow before, during, or after appointments. You will help navigate complex scheduling needs, coordinate with multiple services, and ensure accurate registration and documentation through patient portals and various hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills focused on patients.
• Experience scheduling appointments and procedures using hospital systems.
• Ability to document patient information accurately.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to coordinate pre-appointment orders and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and procedures through clinical communication, work queues, and patient portal messages.
• Manages registration and patient work queues.
• Coordinates with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure all pre-appointment orders and consults have been received and ready to view prior to patient visit.
• Communicates with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making to route appropriately as applicable.
