Description: The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in for our dietetics and pelvic health patients, as well as clinical support duties. This is a full-time position working M-F from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm out of our Pelvic Health Clinic in Edina.

Essential Functions:

  1. Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
  2. Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
  3. Accurately and timely schedule new and existing patients in the practice management system
  4. Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments
  5. Chart preparation and management
  6. Maintain knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks
  7. Maintain communication with patients, families, and staff
  8. Rotate switchboard duties: handling calls, coordinating interpreters, and patient referrals
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Customer Service experience required
  • Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred

Benefits & Compensation: Actual starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered, payable on the first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the bonus. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision plans, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, Gym & Car Rental Discounts.

  • Compliance with company policies, procedures, and laws (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA)
  • Prompt and reliable attendance
  • Ability to travel within the clinic, including moving between floors
  • Ability to handle long periods of standing, sitting, bending, and lifting
  • Work efficiently, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and professionalism
  • Prioritize workload and be flexible
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Operate equipment and phone systems effectively
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other locations if required
