Description: The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in as well as clinical support duties. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with specific hours and locations as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
  • Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Locations: Woodbury, Vadnais Heights, and Stillwater.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
  2. Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
  3. Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
  4. Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments
  5. Chart preparation and management
  6. Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks
  7. Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
  8. Assist in non-billable patient services by bringing appropriate patients back and initiating pre-therapy exercises
  9. Guide patients through specific education/intervention provided by therapists under supervision
  10. Assist in organizing and writing literature for exercises, therapy, and sports programs
  11. May assist with program development and coordinate schedules for volunteer tech programs
  12. Clean and stock exam rooms, gym, equipment, and therapy space
  13. Assist with and/or lead group and individual fitness classes, if qualified
  14. Coordinate equipment repair as needed
  15. Assist with patient transport within the clinic
  16. Perform any other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Customer Service experience required
  • Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
  • Preference for applicants pursuing graduate studies in Physical or Occupational Therapy, or Master's in Athletic Training
  • 100 hours of related experience
Benefits & Compensation:

Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered, payable on the first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the bonus. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision plans, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, Gym & Car Rental Discounts.
