Description: The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in as well as clinical support duties. This is a part-time (0.6) position working Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 am at our Burnsville and Eagan locations.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID.
  2. Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.
  3. Accurately and timely schedule new and existing patients in the practice management system.
  4. Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments.
  5. Chart preparation and management.
  6. Maintain knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks.
  7. Maintain communication with patients, families, and staff.
  8. Assist in non-billable patient services and guide patients through specific education/interventions under supervision.
  9. Assist in organizing and writing literature for exercises, therapy, and sports programs.
  10. May assist with program development, sports medicine, and volunteer tech scheduling.
  11. Clean and stock exam rooms, gym, and therapy spaces.
  12. Assist with and/or lead fitness classes if qualified.
  13. Coordinate equipment repairs and patient transport within the clinic.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.
  • Preference for candidates pursuing or planning to pursue graduate studies in Physical or Occupational Therapy, or Master's in Athletic Training.
  • 100 hours of related experience.
Benefits & Compensation:

Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the bonus. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision plans, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, Gym & Car Rental Discounts.

  • Ability to work in a clinic environment, including physical activity such as bending, lifting, and standing.

  • Logical problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Operate equipment and communicate via phone system effectively.
  • Work independently and travel as needed.
