JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Description

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration and check-in as well as clinical support duties. This is a full-time position working variable daytime hours M-F out of our Hudson and New Richmond locations. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices owned and led by physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:
  1. Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
  2. Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
  3. Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
  4. Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment details, directions, check-in times, referral information, and copayments
  5. Chart preparation and management
  6. Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and networks
  7. Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
  8. Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties, including handling calls, coordinating interpreters, and referrals
  9. Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Customer Service Experience Required
  • Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred
Benefits & Compensation:

Starting pay varies based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered, payable on the first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the bonus. Benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision Plans, Maternity Bundle, 401K with Profit Sharing, Tuition Reimbursement, Gym & Car Rental Discounts. Essential Requirements:
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics
  • Complete required training
  • Comply with applicable laws (HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance
  • Work in the clinic during business hours and travel as needed
  • Physical ability to move around the clinic, including bending, lifting, standing, and sitting for long periods
  • Work efficiently, handle interruptions, and meet deadlines
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully
