Job summary

ADVENT in Wisconsin is hiring a Part-Time Patient Services Representative/Medical Assistant to support patients from their first visit through their journey. Oak Creek location with occasional coverage in Pleasant Prairie.

You will greet patients, check in using EHR, schedule appointments, take vitals, and assist clinic staff. Requires CMA/RMA/CCMA or 2+ years experience, MS Office and EHR familiarity, strong communication, attention to detail, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• CMA, RMA or CCMA certification preferred, or 2+ years in medical Office/clinic setting.
• Experience with insurance and patient payments is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records systems.
• Customer-focused communicator with high attention to detail.
• Strong time management and multitasking in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in using EHR and registration protocols.
• Ensure documentation is complete and collect payments per insurance.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with clinic team.
• Greet, room, and take vitals of patients as needed.
• Maintain timely clinic flow and communicate to physicians.
• Sanitize exam rooms and equipment after each patient.
• Rotate stock in pharmaceutical closet and dispose of expired meds.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and non-sample medications.
• Assist with additional clinic responsibilities as required.

Now Hiring: Patient Services Representative / Medical Assistant - Part-Time

Locations:

Oak Creek - with occasional coverage in Pleasant Prairie

As a Patient Services Representative/Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients feel supported and cared for from their very first visit through every step of their journey.

How you will make an impact as a Patient Services Representative/Medical Assistant:

• Greet patients and accurately check patients into EHR using established patient registration check-in protocols
• Responsible for ensuring documentation is appropriately completed, patient payment is received per insurance and work with clinic team members to maintain daily schedule
• Schedule patient appointments
• Greet, room, and take vitals of patients
• Ensure clinic patient appointments run in a timely manner, communicating with Physicians and APPs necessary information before they see patients
• Sanitize exam rooms after each patient
• Sanitize equipment used in clinics including instruments, scopes, and specialty procedure equipment
• Rotate/stock pharmaceutical closet; dispose of expired medication
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and non-sample pharmaceuticals
• Assist with additional clinic responsibilities as required

What You Bring:

• Medical Assistant experience preferred, such as CMA (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or a minimum of two years of working experience.
• Experience working with insurance preferred
• Tech-savvy with experience in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records
