ADVENT in Vernon Hills and Northbrook is hiring a Medical Assistant / Patient Services Representative. Join a compassionate team delivering patient-first care and help patients from first visit through their journey.

This full-time role (32-40 hr/wk) features a Monday–Friday schedule, rooming patients, EMR documentation, scheduling, and collaboration with physicians. Compensation is $18-26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred or minimum of 1 year experience.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with performance-based goals or metrics.
• Customer-first mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solver in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional hands-on care while supporting a positive, team-oriented clinic environment.
• Ensure a smooth and seamless patient experience throughout the day.
• Collaborate closely with clinical staff to support quality care.
• Room patients and accurately document medical history and vitals in the EMR.
• Assist in procedures with Physicians.
• Safety and sanitation of rooms and equipment.
• Welcome patients warmly and assist with scheduling needs.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow for a smooth clinic experience.
• Answer incoming calls and provide overflow support to the call center as needed.
• Open and close the clinic following established protocols.
• Ensure proper documentation, process payments, and support daily clinic operations.
• Order medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as needed.
• Onboard and train new staff.
• Provide support to our market clinics as needed.
