Job summary

Advocate Health Care West Allis seeks a Front End Staff Member to manage patient check-in and registration, collect co-pays, and coordinate scheduling in a fast-paced environment. You will support accurate data capture in the electronic health record and maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record that forms the patient’s medical record.
• Verify demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; collect co-pays and out-of-pocket responsibilities.
• Explain insurance basics and discuss financial obligations with patients; refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Register patients, check in, schedule appointments, and coordinate cancellations or recalls.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
• Greet patients, answer calls, and provide excellent customer service.
• Educate patients on portal usage and assist with test preparations and arrival times.
