Job summary

Tri-Cities Community Health in Pasco, WA, is hiring a Patient Services Specialist to support our care teams across sites. You will manage front desk registrations, verify insurance, collect eligibility and timing of service data, and assist with medical records requests, all while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering courteous service.

Under supervision of the Site Manager, you will contribute to scheduling goals, accurate UDS data collection, and a collaborative environment that

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in general medical, dental, BHS, or specialized medical setting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously across multiple departments and facilities.
• Current Drivers License and vehicle insurance.
• Completion of yearly competency trainings on customer service, UDS data, migrant and seasonal worker populations, insurance, and sliding fees programs.
• Proficient in English and another language (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, or other) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete registrations in a professional, accurate, and customer–oriented manner.
• Obtain information from patients’ health insurance or managed care identification cards.
• Comply with standardized practices in handling cash funds tills.
• Answer all incoming calls appropriately.
• Respond to calls from patients and staff with good judgment on urgency.
• Schedule all appointments and work with the manager to meet goals.
• Process requests for medical records from multiple parties.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and documentation.
• Work as part of a team toward departmental goals across facilities.
• Attend required safety training and follow exposure control plans.
