Job summary

Tri-Cities Community Health in Pasco, WA is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to greet patients, register on arrival, verify eligibility, scan insurance cards, review emails, and collect time of service. You will work across multiple sites and care lines to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate data capture.

You will meet front desk metrics, maintain confidentiality, schedule appointments, process medical records requests, and support care teams with excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of experience in general medical, dental, BHS, or specialized medical setting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities across multiple departments and facilities.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Completion of yearly competency trainings on customer service, UDS data, migrant and seasonal worker populations, insurance, and sliding fees programs.
• Proficient in English and another language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients professionally and accurately.
• Verify patient information and insurance details.
• Assist with daily cash handling and payment processing.
• Answer and route incoming calls; greet visitors.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with care teams.
• Process requests for medical records and release of information.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to meet departmental goals.
• Complete required safety and competency trainings.
