Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide comprehensive clerical support in a physician clinic. You will handle reception, telephony, medical records, charge entry, referrals, and information retrieval to support patient care and clinic efficiency.

Daily responsibilities include coordinating with the healthcare team, updating patient data, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic office tasks, phone handling, and reception.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical billing/payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/caregivers and provide assistance reflecting high quality service and teamwork.
• Verify accuracy and update demographic data in the EHR; identify barriers to care.
• Gather and process information for medical records, referrals, billing, and treatments.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and adjust as needed.
• Maintain patient charts confidentially and process payments at time of service.
