Job summary

Holy Cross Medical Group in Utah is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide frontline clerical and reception support in a physician clinic, handling reception, telephone, medical records, charge entry, referrals, and information retrieval.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team and patients to meet their needs, maintain accurate demographics and records, schedule appointments, collect payments, and ensure smooth operations with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic office and computer skills, filing, reception and phone answering.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/caregivers and provide assistance reflecting high quality service.
• Verify and update demographic data in the electronic health record and identify barriers.
• Gather and process information for medical records, referrals, billing and treatment.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and adjust as needed.
• Maintain patient charts confidentially and process payments at time of service.
