Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Associate (PSA) II to professionally manage arrival and departure activities and ensure a smooth flow of patients to examination rooms.

Responsibilities include processing verifications, pre-certifications, and authorizations, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and delivering a positive Jefferson Experience for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• H S Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff.
• Processes check in and/or check out, scheduling via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
