Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Patient Services Associate (PSA) II to enhance the patient experience by processing arrivals and departures for visits, obtaining pre-certifications or authorizations, and verifying insurance and demographics. The PSA II focuses on courteous, efficient service to maintain smooth patient flow to examination rooms.

Responsibilities include scheduling via EPIC, greeting patients, and escalating issues as needed while upholding HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must communicate courteously with patients/visitors and support a positive Jefferson Experience.
• Ability to process and interpret data and multi-task in time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, visitors and staff per Jefferson values.
• Processes check in/check out and schedules appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors professionally in person or over the phone.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements; complies with applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
