CityMD in Paramus, NJ is hiring a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients, register them, and coordinate appointments with our care teams. You will handle patient questions with urgency and kindness, both by phone and in person, and manage registration paperwork.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, teamwork, and top-notch customer service in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual abilities are a plus depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Happy, welcoming, can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing speed around 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable to evolving environment.
• Passion for helping others in healthcare.
• Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Accurately enters/updates patient information in system.
• Assisting patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records.
• Answering phone calls, questions, etc. in a prompt and polite manner.
• Processing medical insurance information, verifying patient eligibility and addressing questions (liaise with Billing as appropriate).
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly.
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Informing site manager or assistant site manager of waiting room wait times and patient inquiries.
