Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily PSC and specimen collection duties with professionalism and accuracy. You will interact with clients and patients, collect blood and other specimens, and process them per established procedures to ensure integrity and timely results.

The role requires attention to detail in data entry, adherence to safety and privacy policies, and the ability to adapt to fluctuating patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; phlebotomist certification preferred (Louisiana requires).
• 1+ year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain courteous service.
• Ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and reduce anxiety.
• Handle specimens, label, centrifuge, and store per protocol.
• Enter patient and test data into PathGroup systems with high accuracy.
• Maintain records and logs for PSC/IOPST.
• Assist with inventory, data compilation, and basic clerical duties.
