Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting, handling specimen collection and processing with accuracy and courtesy. You will interact with clients, patients, and staff, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, data entry, maintaining records, and supporting monthly statistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (state guidelines may apply)
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Louisiana may require)
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and maintains courteous interaction
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time
• Collects specimens per established procedures and explains venipuncture/collection process clearly
• Disposes of biohazardous materials per laws and policies
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and other PathGroup systems
• Enters patient and billing information accurately

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Phlebotomist Certification (preferred; Louisiana may require)
