Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting, supporting forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

The role involves greeting patients, collecting specimens, documenting data accurately, and maintaining safety and compliance across all tasks. Strong customer service and attention to detail are essential for high-quality operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred ( Louisiana requirement ).
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures and explain venipuncture process clearly.
• Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer with high accuracy.
• Maintain records and PSC/IOPST logs and assist with monthly statistics.
• Adhere to PPE and lab safety procedures and company policies.
