Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office PST roles. You will perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with focus on accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with procedures. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for daily operations.

On-site position with responsibilities spanning clerical tasks, data entry, and quality control. Louisiana rules may require specific licensure for phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains the venipuncture process clearly.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids or tissue per applicable laws, standards or policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and/or other PathGroup applications.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information with high accuracy.
• Matches requisition forms to specimens, labels, centrifuges, and processes as required.
