Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the Patient Services Center and in-office workflows. You will interact with clients and patients professionally while performing phlebotomy, specimen processing, and data entry in PathGroup systems.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, ability to manage fluctuating patient flow, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. Training is provided to ensure quality service across the PSC and PST functions.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and specimen collection experience.
• Excellent communication with patients and clients.
• Accurate data entry and record-keeping in lab systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and provide courteous service.
• Ensure specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and reassure patients.
• Dispose of biohazards per laws and policies.
• Enter patient and billing information into systems with accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per test orders.
• Package and transport specimens maintaining specimen integrity.
• Maintain daily records and logs for PSC/IOPST activities.
• Perform basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
