Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform phlebotomy and related patient service duties in a professional, courteous manner. The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include accurate requisitions, specimen labeling, transport preparation, and daily logs, with emphasis on quality and patient comfort. Prior experience is preferred and adherence to the corporate compliance program is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
  • Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers appropriately and provides courteous service.
  • Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
  • Collects specimens following established procedures and explains venipuncture steps clearly.
  • Disposes of blood and biohazard materials according to laws and policies.
  • Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and other systems.
  • Enters patient and billing information with high accuracy.
  • Matches requisition forms to specimens and processes them per protocol.
  • Packages and stores specimens to maintain integrity for transport.
  • Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST and monthly statistics.
