Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a customer-service focused front desk representative to support patient scheduling and registration at one of its ambulatory offices in New Jersey. You will greet patients, register them, collect copays, and provide general information with a focus on a positive patient experience.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with registration systems, and the ability to work in a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility preferred.
• Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.
• HIGH SCHOOL OR GED

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front line contact for all incoming patients.
• Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information.
• Update/validate demographics, insurance information and obtain signatures.
• Assist patients with arrival using kiosks/tablets and explain delays when present.
• Schedule appointments across the healthcare continuum.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Perform non-clinical administrative duties and document in medical records.
