Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking a patient services representative focused on friendly, efficient scheduling and front desk support. You will greet patients, register them, collect copays, and provide general information using AIDET.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, Epic/MyChart proficiency preferred, and a commitment to exceptional customer service in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility.
• Experience with patient registration, scheduling, pre-certifications, and referrals preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented attitude and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests using AIDET and provides excellent patient service.
• Handles full patient registration and updating demographics, insurance, and verifications.
• Uses kiosks and tablets to assist patients upon arrival; able to stand/walk 2–8 hours.
• Makes appointments across the healthcare continuum including follow-ups.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles cash drawer; performs non-clinical admin duties.
• Communicates with multidisciplinary team and respects patient rights; adheres to policies.
• May work at other ambulatory offices based on volume.
