Job summary

Care First Rehab in Cary, NC is seeking a Front Office / Patient Services Specialist to be the first contact for our patients. This full-time, in-person role supports our clinical team and helps coordinate appointments, insurance verification, and billing coordination.

You will collect copays, explain scheduling processes, and assist with front office operations. Qualifications include at least one year in medical office scheduling, proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or WebPT, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of administrative support and medical scheduling experience.
• Ability to work until 6 PM Mon-Thu and 8 AM–5 PM on Fridays.
• Familiar with EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, WebPT).
• Proficient computer skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for new and returning patients.
• Collaborate with billing for insurance verification, authorizations, and billing coordination.
• Manage appointments with the home care scheduler.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and scheduling processes.
• Collect copays and discuss financial arrangements with patients/families.
• Support therapists with patient-related tasks and oversee front office operations.
