Job summary

The Patient Services Representative Float at i-Health’s Stillwater location handles patient registration, check-in and basic clinical support. This full-time role collaborates with OSI clinics.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting payments, scheduling in the practice management system, maintaining charts, and coordinating switchboard tasks. The role requires a High School diploma, proficiency with Word/Outlook/Excel, and strong customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Customer Service experience required.
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID.
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system.
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments.
• Chart preparation and management.
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals.
• Any and all other duties as assigned such as cleaning, laundry, rooming patients, prepping patients for appointments, etc.
