Job summary

United Vein & Vascular Centers is seeking a Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) to warmly greet patients, sign them in, collect insurance information, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced clinic.

You will manage intake forms, process payments for co-pays and uninsured visits, and maintain EMR records while ensuring PHI confidentiality under HIPAA. A strong focus on service, organization, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in medical assisting or administration.
• Familiarity with ECW is a plus.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information.
• Provide intake and new patient forms, as well as copies of office policies and required documents.
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provided schedule guidelines.
• Maintain hard copy patient records as well as files in the EMR system.
• Audit schedule to ensure patient insurance eligibility.
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain PHI confidentiality per HIPAA and UVVC policies.
