Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s Grayslake Multi-Specialty clinic seeks a Customer Service oriented Patient Service Representative. You will check patients in and out, confirm identities, collect co-pays, post payments and help schedule appointments while delivering exemplary service.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years in customer service; a bachelor’s degree or healthcare experience is a plus. Benefits are extensive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years in a customer service role.
• Bachelor's degree and healthcare experience are a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out of appointments.
• Confirm patient identity and collect co-pays.
• Post payments and handle end-of-day cash.
• Schedule appointments and update patient information.
• Maintain waiting area and communicate delays to patients.
