Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care seeks a patient services representative (medical receptionist) to be the first point of contact, delivering welcoming, efficient front-office operations and accurate documentation in a fast-paced medical setting.

You will verify insurance, communicate payment policies, and support clinicians and staff to maintain smooth clinic workflow while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards. This full-time role includes travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing patient and business documents.
• Verify health insurance benefits and eligibility; explain payment policies and billing information.
• Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility clearly.
• Support the practice manager and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Understand and enforce healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required.
