Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative (Medical Receptionist) to join our Watkinsville and Athens locations. You will warmly welcome patients, handle administrative tasks, verify insurance, and manage financial discussions, while supporting clinic workflow and compliance.

The role requires a friendly, detail-oriented approach and the ability to travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus
• 1+ years as Medical Receptionist or Patient Services Representative in a medical setting
• Strong communication and attention to detail; able to multitask in a busy environment
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude
• Maintain patient and business documentation with confidentiality
• Verify insurance benefits and explain payment policies
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility
• Support clinic operations and assist the practice manager as needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
