Job summary

Advocate Health's Aurora Medical Group in Illinois seeks a Patient Service Representative to deliver efficient, compassionate front-desk service. You will support providers, assist with scheduling, registration, and billing, and help maintain accurate medical records.

Shifts are primarily afternoon (11:30 AM–5:00 PM) with rotating weekend coverage (Sat 7:30 AM–12:00 PM, Sun 7:30 AM–11:00 AM) and possible additional evening duties based on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years related customer service experience
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Primarily afternoon shifts, typically 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Rotating weekend coverage required: Saturdays 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM; Sundays 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
• As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
• Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Billing Services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Medical Record Services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
