Job summary

223 Aurora Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Front End Staff member in Oshkosh, WI. You will create the patient’s electronic health record and verify demographic and insurance information, while collecting co-pays and guiding patients through the care process.

The role requires HIPAA knowledge, strong customer service, and proficiency with EPIC EHR and MS Office. You’ll interact with patients, physicians, and staff in a high-volume office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be in the PSR I for 12 current months and meet promotion criteria.
• Experience in a medical office with HIPAA compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record foundation for the patient.
• Verify demographics, guarantor, and insurance information at check-in.
• Discuss and collect co-pays and patient financial responsibilities.
• Explain financial responsibilities to patients and refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with governing regulations.
• Greet patients, assist with scheduling and directing to the appropriate staff.
• Monitor electronic health record work queues and support team workflows.
