Scripps Health in La Jolla, CA is hiring a Patient Service Representative in the General Surgery department for a full-time, 80-hours-per-pay-period role Monday through Friday 8AM–5PM on site at the Anderson Medical Pavilion.

You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, collect payments, and handle referrals and authorizations while delivering courteous service and accurate end-of-day reporting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and providers to gather information for accurate registration.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; assign Medical Record Numbers and manage scheduling.
• Handle point-of-service payments, collect balances, and ensure proper end-of-day reporting and reconciliation.
