Job summary

Jefferson Health in Havertown, PA seeks a Patient Services Associate II for Internal Medicine to support patient arrival, check-in/out, and scheduling to ensure a smooth flow of visits.

You will verify insurance and referrals, obtain pre-certifications, greet patients professionally, and uphold HIPAA/privacy standards while delivering a courteous Jefferson Experience in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
