Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to courteously manage arrival and departure activities and verify patient information. The role emphasizes prompt, professional patient care and supporting a smooth exam flow in the practice.

The PSA II will obtain pre-certifications, verify insurance and referrals, and work to ensure a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and visitors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous communication with patients and visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner, by phone or in person.
• Process check-in and check-out, and schedule appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
