Job summary

Jefferson Health in West Berlin, New Jersey, seeks a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by courteously processing arrivals and departures and coordinating with EPIC for appointments. The role includes obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations, verifying insurance, and supporting a smooth flow to examination rooms.

The incumbent will maintain HIPAA compliance, verify demographics, and respond to patient needs to ensure efficient service in a busy practice

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients/visitors and support a positive Jefferson Experience.
• Ability to process and interpret data and multitask with a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Process check-in/check-out, scheduling via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications/pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Greet patients/visitors professionally, on phone or in person.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
