Job summary

Jefferson is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by courteously processing arrivals and departures and supporting efficient flow to exam rooms. You will assist with pre-certifications and EPIC-based scheduling.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Customer service and/or patient facing healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Processes check in and check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
