Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team in Sanford. This role serves as a bridge between patients and medical staff, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying demographics and insurance, and handling payments at check-in or checkout.

The PSR will also manage telecommunication, coordinate physician schedules, and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Check in patients, verify and update information, and check patients out.
• Explain financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, and insurance eligibility.
• Maintain a neat lobby and keep magazines current.
• Coordinate physicians’ schedules and have knowledge of physician specialties.
• Answer phones, take messages, and provide accurate information as needed.
• Handle mail and medical records with accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to PMC mission by delivering high-quality patient care.
