Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to greet patients, collect demographics and payments, and coordinate scheduling across our Pinehurst-area clinics.

The role is day shift, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays, and involves supporting the patient experience, verifying information, and communicating clearly with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to two years of experience in a medical office setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner; answer requests for information.
• Check in patients, verify and update information, and acknowledge patients during check-in/out.
• Advise patients regarding financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, insurance eligibility, etc.
• Maintain the lobby and keep materials current.
• Coordinate physician schedules with knowledge of specialties and medical practices.
• Answer phones, take messages, handle requests, and provide accurate information.
• Handle mail and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the PMC mission by delivering high quality patient care.
• Float coverage between Endocrinology and Rheumatology clinics as needed (Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Sanford).
