Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic in Pinehurst, NC is seeking a Part Time Patient Service Representative (PSR) to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and schedule appointments.

The role requires accurate data entry, cash handling, and coordination with medical staff. Shift is Day Shift, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Pay is hourly (non-exempt) and an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: 1–2 years experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors promptly, Courteously assisting and directing patients and visitors.
• Checking in patients, verifying and updating information, and communicating delays to patients.
• Advising patients on financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, insurance eligibility, etc.
• Maintaining the lobby in a neat and orderly manner, keeping magazines current.
• Coordinating physicians’ schedules and possessing knowledge of physician specialties and practices.
• Answering telephones, returning calls, taking messages, and providing accurate information as necessary.
• Handling mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records with accuracy and completeness.
• Contributing to the PMC mission by delivering high-quality patient care.
