Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year medical practice clerical experience preferred.
• Customer service and billing experience desirable.

Responsabilités

• Answers high volume of phone calls and responds to patient inquiries using customer service principles.
• Gathers complete patient demographic and financial information and verifies insurance benefits.
• Collects patient payments during check-in or check-out.
• Schedules patient appointments and optimizes scheduling to maximize availability.
• Communicates clearly with physicians and staff about patient issues.
• Ensures patient information is accurate in the electronic medical record program.
• Maintains liaison with other organizations for information exchange.
