UF Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a proactive Medical Assistant to support registration and scheduling, collect patient demographics and financial information, and facilitate billing and insurance documentation. You will coordinate with physicians and nursing staff while delivering excellent patient service under physician supervision.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved Medical Assistant program, and current BLS certification.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge helpful but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments and register patients.
• Obtain demographic and financial information from patients.
• Obtain signatures and documentation for billing/insurance.
• Order lab tests and other tests via computer system.
• Perform end-of-day disposition and collect statistics.
• Greet patients and serve as liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and staff.
