Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to support patient check-in/out and accurate registration at our Illinois locations. You will handle payments, verify demographics and insurance, and help guests with appointment details in a patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, confirms identity and provides visit information.
• Completes check-in and check-out functions as directed.
• Confirms and updates patient identification and demographic/insurance information.
• Completes patient registration as needed.
• Collects co-payments, past due balances and point of service payments.
• Posts payments and processes billing information; performs end-of-day cash drawer closing.
• Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable.
• Informs patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• For PSRs in ICCs, may float to other ICCs/departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
