Summit Health’s CityMD division in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients, register them, and coordinate with the care team to ensure a timely, courteous experience. You will handle paperwork and insurance verification, supporting a smooth front-desk workflow.

The role rewards a High School Diploma or GED, excellent communication, and a friendly, can-do attitude with strong keyboarding (~55 wpm). Bilingual skills and healthcare exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Welcoming, can‑do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in a high-volume/high‑intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing ~55 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of wait times and inquiries.
