Job summary

Summit Health’s CityMD location is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients and deliver exemplary service as they register for care. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, insurance verification, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate patient intake and visits, assist with paperwork, and maintain patient records. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required; bilingual abilities may be beneficial depending on site location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume service environments preferred.
• Bilingual skills may be required or preferred depending on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize intake and appointment coordination.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork as needed.
• Scan, update, and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Verify insurance eligibility and liaise with Billing as needed.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site management of wait times and patient inquiries.
