Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Creve Coeur, MO, is seeking a Part-Time Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. You will manage front-desk operations, patient check-in/out, and coordinate scheduling and billing tasks.

The schedule is Tue 1-6:30 and Thu 7-12, with compensation at $18/hour and increases based on experience. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional patient experiences from arrival through checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Front desk experience preferred (1 year).
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with insurance companies, translation vendors, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
