Job summary

Elica Health Centers seeks a Patient Service Center Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, partners, and vendors. You will handle appointment scheduling, demographics updates, insurance verification, and message routing to clinical staff with accuracy and courtesy.

The ideal candidate has call center experience, knowledge of healthcare terminology, and familiarity with EPIC or other EHR systems, plus strong customer service skills in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with EHR software, preferably EPIC.
• Experience in a call center environment.
• Healthcare terminology knowledge.
• Understanding of health insurance including Medicare and Medi-Cal.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients.
• Schedule patient appointments via inbound and outbound calls.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information; verify eligibility.
• Take messages and deliver to appropriate internal staff.
• Transfer calls with complex inquiries to staff.
• Document patient complaints.
