Job summary

University Physicians Association, Inc. (UPA) is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative for a busy surgical office located within the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The role includes handling office phones and general clerical duties to support patient flow and administrative operations.

University Physicians Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a busy surgical office located within the University of Tennessee Medical Center. This person will assist with office phones and general clerical duties.

Schedule

Office Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (No weekends or holidays)

Patient Service Representative duties include, but are not limited to answering phones, filing and organizing patient documents, checking phone messages, checking mail and directing it to appropriate people, manage printer, scan documents into patient charts, sending mail, and coordinating patient flow.

Professional Interpersonal & Communication Skills

Administrative Responsibilities/Billing

• Phones are automatically rolled to call provider on-call at out of office times
• Answer incoming calls within two (2) rings
• Fax patient medical records requested, as needed
• Properly triage phone messages and send messages throughout PowerChart
• All messages, calls, and voicemail are expected to be returned the same day received
• Place all information from the fax/printer in correct folder
